Arthur B. Compton Jr.

COMPTON JR., Arthur B. age 93 formerly of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at Bennington Glen Nursing Home in Marengo, OH. Arthur was born September 15, 1912 in Chicago, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur B. Sr. and Pearl (Greenwood) Compton and his sister Helen Musson. He is survived by 4 daughters: Ann (Ed) Deister of Mt. Vernon, OH, Bonnie (Kas) Berget of Santa Fe, NM, Virginia Streamer of Baltimore, MD, Titian (Robert) Winslow of Winter Park, FL; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Arthur graduated from Oakwood High School in 1929 and the University of PA-Wharton School of Business in 1933. He was the former president and owner of Lincoln Storage Company. He was a member of Zurah Shrine in Minneapolis, MN and an honorary member of the Antioch Shrine in Dayton. He was a former member of the Kiwanis and the Rotary Clubs in Dayton, Minneapolis and Florida. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Monday, December 12, 2005 at Woodland Mausoleum 118 Woodland Ave., Dayton, OH. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Morrow County P.O. Box 86 Mt.
