Arlene Rose Piersall , age 78 of Xenia, passed away Monday, November 14, 2022 at Kettering Health Main Campus. She was born June 10, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of Harry Davis and Elizabeth "Betty" Davis Mitchell.
Arlene worked for Greene Memorial Hospital for 28 years, Kettering Hospital for 14 years and Hospitality Nursing Home for 5 years before finally retiring. She loved NASCAR racing, watching her husband race at Kil Kare Raceway, going to the casino and Ohio State football. She also enjoyed cooking for everyone around her and claimed that was her purpose in life. Arlene will be remembered for her selfless spirit and always putting others before herself.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Edsel L. Piersall Sr.; siblings, Robert "Bob" Davis, Rick L. Mitchell and Mary M. "Peggy" Stamper.
Arlene is survived by her siblings, John C. "Jack" Davis, Paula A. Robinson and Mark A. Mitchell; daughters, Vicky Lutz and Brenda Castle; son, Edsel L. Piersall Jr. and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Special thank you to her neighbors, David and Kay French for their constant support and friendship.
Visitation will be Friday, December 2, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm with a Memorial Service at 3:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432).
