Arlene R. Colley

Arlene R. Colley, age 92 of Fairfield and formerly of Bellbrook, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 17, 2020. She was born June 27, 1927 in Pennington Gap, VA to the late Olin and Lula (Rogers) Parsons. In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her brothers, Jess Parsons of Kingsport, TN and Phillip Parsons of Pennington Gap, VA.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, Eugene "Gene" Colley; children, James Robert "Bob" Colley of Jasper, GA, Cheryle Virelli of Knoxville, TN and Cathy Kinter of Fairfield, OH; grandchildren, Ryan Lemp, Jennifer Lemp, Rachel Colley and Steven Colley; numerous extended family and dear friends.

Arlene worked for many years at Western Auto in Dayton, OH. She worked and retired from Kettering Medical Center Credit Union after 20 years of service. Arlene and Gene were devoted Christians and served as active members of Franklin Street Baptist Church and Morningstar Baptist Church in Centerville. She enjoyed many years of traveling around the country with her husband in their Air Stream travel trailer. Arlene was a loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was loved by all and will be dearly missed. Arlene now resides peacefully in her Heavenly home.

Family will receive friends from 11 AM - 12 PM on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Morningstar Baptist Church (208 Nutt Rd., Centerville, OH 45458) where a funeral service will begin at 12 PM with Pastor Danny Griffith officiating. Interment will follow the service at Miami Valley Memorial Gardens, Centerville.
