Anthony David Cassoni, affectionately known as Tony, passed away on October 4, 2023, in Dayton, Ohio, at the age of 80. He was born on May 10, 1943, in Glen Lyon, Pennsylvania, to parents Angelo and Rozina.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Bertha, brother Alex and wife Stacia Cassoni, brother Carl Cassoni, and brother-in-law Don Pennington.
He is survived by his son Richard (Rico) and wife Mary Cassoni, son Robert and wife Rhonda Cassoni, Grandchildren Luke Cassoni, Isabella Cassoni, and Ellianna Cassoni, brother John and wife Ida Cassoni, sister Rosemary (Don) Pennington, sister Louise and Husband Allen Payne, and sister-in-law Mary (Carl) Cassoni.
Immediately after graduating from high school, Tony's journey began when he enlisted in the US Air Force. While stationed at Goose Bay Labrador Canada, he met his wife-to-be, Bertha. During his service, he played a vital role in supporting the Strategic Air Command during the Vietnam era, with dedication to his country.
After his time in the Air Force, he embarked on a successful career spanning nearly three decades as a Systems Engineer at NCR with an astute troubleshooting reputation.
Outside of work, Tony enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, talking to his brothers and sisters, playing golf, or watching football to root on the Buckeyes or Browns.
His faith was a central part of his life - he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ resting completely in the Gospel for his salvation. Although his means were humble, he enjoyed supporting ministry efforts to proclaim this Good News throughout the world.

Public visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd) on Monday October 16 at 5:00pm with funeral service following at 6:00pm.
Tony leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
