Anthony W. Blake 66
Passed away peacefully on October 29, 2016 after a tragic fall. He was born September 7, 1950, Bowling Green, Kentucky, and graduated from Bowling Green High School, class of 1968.
He worked many years as a truck driver, then later as a laborer. He loved fishing, tinkering with tools and equipment, gardening, and rescuing animals. Above all, Tony loved helping family, friends and others. He did not know a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his mother Ruby Hargett Smith, father William Blake, brother HB Hargett, sisters Rosalie Hargett and Ruby Morgan.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years Edith (Birich) Blake, daughter Angelic Gannia, and two grandchildren, Michael and Kylie of Michigan, three nephews Clay York, Alvin C. York, and Jeffrey York of Tennessee, as well as Anthony's closest and best friend, Bill Thomas.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 6:00 pm at the Vineyard Church in Franklin (4900 Ohio 123, Franklin, OH 45005) with Pastor Chuck Wolfinbarger officiating. Tony's family will receive friends from 5-6:00 pm at the church. A dinner will follow the service.
