Annie Lee Smith

October 4, 1932 — December 5, 2015

SMITH, Annie Lee, age 83 of Dayton, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2015 at Wood Glenn Alzheimer's Community. She was born in Wedowee, AL to the late Matilda and Alonzo Banks.

She was an avid bowler and loved to fish. She worked for many years at Miami Hardware and General Motors. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Smith, Sr.; 4 brothers; and 5 sisters.

She is survived by her son, Raymond (Lorraine) Smith, Jr; sister, Lucille Carter; sister-in-law, Josephine Banks; grandchildren, Marcia, Brandon and Dallas, Leah and Antoine, Lori, and Brian; great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Joya; and many other loving relatives and friends. All her co-workers at Miami Hardware. A special thanks all the staff at Wood Glenn Alzheimer's Community Springrove Unit, special nieces and nephews, Barbara Jean Webster, Fannie Blo, Mabel Lauro, Lorene Miller, Tammy Thompson, Betty Woodard, Annette Jackson, Pearline Woody, Larry Belton, Dino Webster, and Michael Williams; special friends, Jeanette Campbell, Amelia Iglasias, Mary Morton, and Tanya Hayes; the Banks Family and the Clack Family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Kettering Chapel, where the family will greet friends and loved ones for one hour prior (12-1pm).
