Anne Marie Owen

Anne Marie Owen went home to be with the Lord the morning of 02/14/2015. She leaves behind the love of her life, James F. Owen, (Jim) married 56 years. They loved the Lord and were blessed with 3 children, Julie LaPrairie (Pete LaPrairie husband), Janet Collier (Vincent Collier husband), and Karen Owen. She was a loving grandmother to 8 grandchildren, Crystal Anne LaPrairie, Jennifer Lucretia Collier, Brian LaPrairie, Ashley Nicole Dillon, Heather Miller (Doug Miller husband), Dustin Collier, Cody Dillon, and Ryan Collier. She became a Great Grandmother at the age of 65. She loved and spoiled her 9 Great Grandchildren passionately. Jacen Dillon, Jaden LaPrairie, Delila Henry, Caliyah Henry, Layla LaPrairie, Keegan Miller, Alorah Rose Dillon, Alaina Henry, Annabelle Starr Miller, and had yet to welcome her 10th Great Grandchild expected later this year. She was born in Sault Ste Marie Michigan to Clyde and Dinah Ferris. She was a member of the Sault Ste Chippewa Indians Tribe. She preceded her sister and brother-in-law, June and Ray Reynolds and her brother Delbert Ferris and his wife Sumiko Ferris. She leaves behind her 2 sisters Beatrice Wolfe and Kay Bailey (husband Philip Bailey). She was an enthusiastic fan of all Michigan sports. She loved and cheered on The Detroit Tigers, Spartans and Wolverines. She enjoyed teasing her grandsons who were Ohio State Fans. Anne was the number one fan of all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren's sporting events and all of their own activities. She supported and showed up for all that they did. Anne enjoyed working at the Wright-Patt Commissary and JC Penneys. She also enjoyed activities with her friends. Anne and Jim faithfully attended Overlook Church of Christ for many years. Over the years she had many animals and loved them all. She loved Christmas and being with her family. We lost you so suddenly. We will love you always with all of our hearts and souls. Although we cannot hear your voice anymore, we know that you will be watching all of us. We know we will see you again someday, my Wife, my Mom, my Grandma, my Great Grandma. We will miss you dearly. A memorial gathering will be at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek, Ohio from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Thursday, February 19, 2015. Donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
