Anne Laura "Annie" Hodell (Burns Kemmer), age 91, of Kettering, passed away July 14, 2012 at her home.
Annie was born July 1, 1921, in Lebanon, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jasper and Daisy (Webb) Burns, sister Adelaide Keever, brother Jerry Burns, husband of 26 years Edward W. Kemmer Sr., son Edward W. Kemmer Jr., and husband of 30 years Charles K. Hodell Jr. "Tex".
Annie is survived by her daughter Linda (Paul) Sherman, daughter-in-law Sandra Kemmer, daughter Cathee (Brian) Dennison, and son Charles K. Hodell III; grandchildren Christa (Chris) Shasteen, Nicole (Dan) Seitz, Ryan (Kendall) Doudican, Matt Servaites, Mara Servaites (Tom Allen), Phillip Dennison, Heather Hodell, David Hodell, and Joseph Hodell; loving niece Marilyn (Bill) Long, and nephew James (Patty) Keever; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Annie's loves were dancing, crafts, fishing, and working in her garden. All flowers were her friends. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). Family and friends will receive visitors beginning at 10:00 am, one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420.
