Anne U. Burdge, 63, of Kettering, OH, died on Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, at her home. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of John "Jack" W. Barch and Helen L. Boyd Rohlfing, who preceded her in death. Anne graduated from Snider High School in Fort Wayne, IN. She later attended Earlham College where she met Michael "Mick" J. Burdge. They married July 21, 1973 in Fort Wayne, IN. Anne worked at Kettering Memorial Hospital, and later at Kettering City Schools. She attended Christ United Methodist Church, Kettering, where, after retirement, she also volunteered. Anne made many friends at work and church who will miss her dearly. Anne enjoyed spending time with her family, and spent many afternoons with her daughter and son in law, Jenny & Vipul, and their children. Anne is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Burdge-Patel (Vipul) of Dayton, OH and Allison Hardin (Lance) of Mandeville, LA; son Mike Burdge (Jordan) of Madison, AL; six grandchildren, Anjali & Sonia Patel, Liam and Clara Hardin, and Izzy and Max Burdge; and her former husband Mick Burdge of Kettering, OH. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Vonderau (Bill) of New Haven, IN and brother Dan Barch (Della) of Wellington, CO, and nieces and nephews. Anne was also preceded in death by a sister, Janet Barch. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 12:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439.
