Jaye was a very caring person who was always willing to help others. She was an involved mother with great emphasis on education as she guided her children through life and supported them in many extracurricular activities. Family gatherings were very special to her, especially at Christmas. She loved and doted on her grandchildren and great grandchildren even though they were widely dispersed geographically. In her later years she frequently sent them thoughtful birthday and holiday gifts to their great delight.
Jaye collected "country" decorative items to adorn her home. She was also a lifelong Cincinnati Reds fan, but especially during the Big Red Machine era. An avid reader, she treasured her collection of books.
Jaye's burial at Ehrstine Cemetery will be private. No visitation is planned, but a celebration of her life will be held at a later date per her wishes.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be mailed to the Area Agency on Aging at; 40 West 2nd Street, Suite 400, Dayton, OH. 45402. Their staff helped Jaye in many ways during her later years.
