Anna R. Maar

Maar, Anna R., age 82, of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at home. She was born June 5, 1926 in Jackson Co., KY, the daughter of the late George & Sally (Cook) Wright. She retired from Elder-Beerman where she worked as a seamstress for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis "Sonny" Maar, Jr; and 11 brothers and sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Teresa (Tim) Bailey of Dayton; son, Ronald (Gail) Waller of Vandalia; grandchildren, Rhonda (Jim) Lawson, Mark (Tanya) Waller, Kristie Waller, Adam (Linsay) Bailey, & Michael Bailey; great grandsons, Jimmie Lawson, Bryson and Cayson Bailey; great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Waller; sister, Faye Davis; and other close friends and family members. She was the matriarch of the family and she will be deeply missed. The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of Dayton and Dr. Gordon, Dr. Nordin, and Dr. Linn for all of their care. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio. Entombment will follow at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, Brookville, Ohio. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 PM until the time of services.
