Anna Mae Purks, 49, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton with her loving family by her side. Anna Mae was born June 7, 1967 in Dayton, OH to Tommy and Wanita (Gibson) Purks. She was named by her great grandmother, Anna Mae Eversole, on the day she was born and the family looks forward to her receiving Anna Mae at the Gates of Heaven.
Anna Mae was Native American and had a strong love for her heritage. She loved the color purple, unicorns, all animals, especially wolves and she loved the Rockies. She would do anything for her family and for those who met her, they would never forget her...a friendship with Anna immediately turned into them becoming family. Anna was a free spirit who loved her family dearly and she will be greatly missed; she will never be forgotten.
Anna Mae is survived by her mother; a son Scott Allen Everhart Jr., three sisters Tracy Lynn (John) Purks-Gover, Barbara (Toby) Purks-Collins, and Maria Kay Adkins-White; one brother Guy (Donna) Edward Ward; and according to Anna, "a whole slew" of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; a daughter Dalelyn Purks-Clark; siblings Teddy, Robert, Randall Scott, Darlene and Tina Marie.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Dayton.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
