Anna May Groves was born in Dayton, Ohio to Frances Price and Agnes Goldburn Price. She had one sister, Katherine. She worked for many years in the pharmaceutical distribution industry, retiring from Miami Luken as a supervisor.
Anna May enjoyed boating and helped her nieces and nephew learn to love it as well. She was well known in the sport of women's bowling and played in many leagues in the Dayton area. Anna May also enjoyed attending Cincinnati Reds games. She had fun going to the local casinos and loved to play the slots.
Over the years Anna May helped her sister, a single mother, providing extra resources and support as Katherine raised her nieces and nephew. As the family grew and a new generation came along, she and her friend, Linda, were always ready and eager baby-sitters. All the children always enjoyed their stay with Aunt May and Aunt Linda!
As the years went on, Aunt May dealt with health challenges, especially with diminishing eye sight. But she still had a good time attending large and noisy family holidays, brunch, and birthday celebrations. And she still played those slots!
Her family and friends will truly miss her. Our love and thanks go with you, Aunt May, until we meet again.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SICSA Pet Adoption Center in Kettering.
The family wants to give many thanks to Brad and Sherrie for being such good neighbors and friends to our aunt.
