Age 78, passed away May 18, 2008 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Perna Murray of Dayton; and by her parents, Lenny & Bertha Adams of Irving, KY.
She is survived by her son, Mark S. Murray; step-daughter, Valerie E. Murray; and grandson, Tyler Murray. Other survivors include, sisters, Tiny Finney, Nettie Vincent, Mattie Lou Sparks and Irene Neal; brothers, Lenny, James & Reese Adams, all of Kentucky.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She retired from Hammer Mill Paper after 30 years of service. She was well loved and will be sorely missed by all those lives she touched.
The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor David Rakes officiating. Interment will follow at Dayton National Cemetery where she will be buried next to her husband.
