Anna L. "Ann" Cowburn, age, 84, passed away on January 5, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio, just days shy of her 85th birthday. Born on January 8, 1940, in Albany, Kentucky, Ann was a proud graduate of Roosevelt High School in Dayton. She retired from the Joyce/Dayton Corp., where she worked for many years as a bookkeeper, demonstrating her exceptional diligence and commitment.
She was known for her frugal nature and was always ready to share her ideas with others. Throughout her life, she found joy in boating and waterskiing, pursuits that created lasting memories and showcased her adventurous side. Above all, she adored spending time with her family and her beloved dogs, fostering deep connections with those she held dear.
She leaves behind her loving family, including her two sons, Steve (Vicki) Laux and Larry (Heidi) Laux. Ann was proud of her grandchildren, Stephanie (Thomas), Jacob (Melissa), Neil (Siera), Anthony, Aimee, and Adam, and delighted in the presence of her great-grandchildren, Elliott, Lexi, and Wyatt and lifelong friends, Janice and Joe Foerch.
Ann was preceded in death by her father, Herman Cash; her mother, Anna "Marie" Moler; and her first husband, Robert Laux.
A visitation to honor Ann's life will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, in Beavercreek, Ohio. Burial will be held privately by the family at a later date.
Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
