Ann Carlson

Ann Carlson, age 87, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away January 9th, 2022. She was born October 24th, 1934 in Paris, TN.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Carlson; infant children, David and Diana Swett; daughter, Carol White; and son, David E. Swett Sr.; as well as 4 siblings.

Ann is survived by her children, Julie (Randy) Siwula, Linda Morales, and Pamela Lehr; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was an avid reader, gardener, crafter, painter and animal lover. She gave the best hugs, and always answered a phone call. She was funny, and loved to laugh, she had the best personality. Her smile would light up a room, even over the past several years as she found her words, hard to come by, she would smile letting you know of her approval. She was the strongest, most stubborn, bravest woman her granddaughters Angela Cleckner and Misty Swett have ever known.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, OH 45459). Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery at 12:30 pm, where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
