Anita Rae Stidham, age 73, of Bellbrook, OH was welcomed into the kingdom of heaven while surrounded by her family on June 27, 2019 after many years of battling illness & disease. Anita was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on November 28, 1945. She was the daughter of Homer Ray & Ethel June (Fraley) Blankenship.
Anita accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord & Saviour at the age of 13 & followed Him in Christian baptism. She was a charter member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, which later became Cornerstone Baptist Temple. Her illnesses may have prevented her attendance in the last few years, but she was an avid viewer of television Christian ministries.
Anita was an highly intelligent lady who was always seeking more knowledge. She was an avid learner who enjoyed reading, writing, and shopping. Her true joy in life came through spending time with her wonderful family who loved listening to Anita share her exhilarating life stories.
Along with her parents, Anita was preceded in death by her first husband, Alex Ferguson; and older brother Albert Blankenship.
Anita was a loving & caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, & friend. She is survived by her 4 loving daughters, Dollina (Anthony) Curtis, Cynthia (Robert) Ziemer, Annissa (Michael) Kleiner, and Amanda Stidham; brothers, Chris (Bonnie) Blankenship and Craig Blankenship; sister, Allyse (David) Kerns; 11 grandchildren, Christopher Ferguson, Miranda Curtis, Amber (Mitchell) Fryman, Whitney (Eric) Huskey, Stephanie (John) Carosiello, Luke Ziemer, Isaiah Kleiner, Jordan Schaeller, Makayla Kleiner, Cassandara Ziemer, and Cali Hall; 9 great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Liberty, Annabelle, Madie, Charlie, Copper, Aria, Scarlett and "old blue eyes" Aka Maya.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2019, 11:00 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, OH. Funeral service will Immediately follow the visitation at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jerry Siler, officiating. Following her service, Anita will be entombed in the Woodland Cemetery and Mausoleum in Dayton.
