Anita Jean Mccullough

May 6, 1958 — January 31, 2023

Anita Jean McCullough, 64, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on the 31st of January, 2023. She was born on the 6th of May, 1958 in Dayton, Ohio.

Anita is survived by her husband, Eddie, 3 daughters; Stephanie Thompson, Wendi Sykes, and Amanda Alijets; 7 grandchildren: Dorrion Williams, Charles Thompson, Elijah Reyes, Sophia Nelson, Ava Alijets, Rolen Alijets and Alyvia Alijets. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Anita was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served from 1977 to 1981, earning four medals during her service. She graduated from Park Hills High School in Fairborn, Ohio.

She was a loyal and generous friend who always stood up for people and causes she believed in. Always smiling and looking on the bright side of life, Anita encouraged the people around her to live their best life. Her hobbies included all types of crafting, especially jewelry making, gardening, and cooking. She loved to get a bargain so she visited garage sales, thrift stores and flea markets. Most of all, Anita loved spending time with her family including her daughters and grandchildren. Anita is loved and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

The family hopes everyone who wants to honor Anita will find a quiet time to remember who she was in their lives and be thankful for the time they had together. In lieu of a public funeral service, individual families are encouraged to have their own private memorial. Anita will be laid to rest in Dayton National Cemetery.
