Anita Gay Glantz, 89, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Jerrold Arthur Glantz, and her dear sister, Edythe Adler (Eisner). She is survived by her son, Michael Glantz, daughter Beth Britting (Glantz), and grandchildren Joshua and Jennifer Britting. Anita was born to Benjamin and Henrietta Eisner (Rubel) and graduated from Glenville High School where she participated in many school activities such as Student Council and the school newspaper Olympiad. She proceeded to attend Case Western Reserve University where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Education. She was friends with Barbara Graubard (Glantz) who introduced her to Barbara's brother Jerry at a fraternity party. They were married in 1959 and raised their children in Cleveland, Ohio. Anita did some substitute teaching and also pursued an Associate's degree in Accounting. She then worked as a bookkeeper and assistant to a CPA. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, cooking with new recipes, reading library books, and solving word and number puzzles. She inspired others with her long-lasting independent determination and ability to deal with whatever she faced during her long and full life. She will be missed greatly by all those who knew her. The family will not be having a service but encourage memorial donations to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.
