Anita M. Burton, died on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at the age of 89. She was a beloved mother and grandmother. She was born in Middletown, Ohio on May 18, 1934, to the late Stanley and Lucille Faulkner.
She is survived by three children, Deborah Anita (David) Peterson from Hoodsport, Washington, James Stanley (Kyle) Kalbaugh from Miamisburg, Ohio, and Jayne Ann Slattery also from Miamisburg, Ohio. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Glen Ryan (Heidi) Slattery, Jason Alan (Zack) Slattery, Thomas Andrew (Gina) Kalbaugh, and Michael Jeffrey Kalbaugh; and five great grandchildren, Riley, Landon, Lily, Ella, and Alli.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, James Milton Kalbaugh; second husband, Alfred Burton; and son-in-law, Glen Slattery.
Anita retired from Monsanto/Mound with nine years of service on September 30, 1996, where she was an executive secretary to the Vice President. She belonged to a Bible study group in her neighborhood and would get together once a week with neighbors to discuss the Bible and make lesson plans. She was also an avid reader and had a passion for needlepoint.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
