Andy Staton
Age 24, of Dayton, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 12, 2006 at his home. He was born August 21, 1981 in Dayton to Robert C. & Debra (Baer) Staton.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Gwendolyn Staton; grandmother and grandfather, Arlene & Donald Baer; uncle, Ron Baer; step-father, Richard Whitaker; and best friend, Lil Bill Harmon.
Andy is survived by his father, Robert C. Staton (& Fran Brown); mother, Debra R. Whitaker; grandfather, Robert K. Staton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jason C. & Cheryl Staton, Robert D. & April Staton; leaving behind the love of his life his daughter, Mackenzie June Staton; and her mother, Amanda Hurley, all of Dayton; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Andy will be remembered for his humor and his very generous heart. He will be missed very much by all. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 18, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Pastor Harris Fry will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer that contributions be made in memory of Andy to a college fund established for his daughter, Mackenzie.
