Kruso, Andrew age 86, of Centerville, passed away December 25, 2011. He was born September 13, 1925 to Steve and Rose (Batin) Kruso of Dayton. Andy is preceded in death by his wife Barbara (Campbell) Kruso and his daughter Suzanne Kruso. He is survived by his four children, Greg, Debra (Kruso) Shaw, Tim and James of Centerville, daughter-in-law Lisa (Caudell) Kruso and beloved friend Callie Coston. Andy is a Grandfather to 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. In addition he is survived by three siblings, Alex Kruso of Germany, Pearl Stubblefield of California, and Rose Motko of Centerville and numerous nieces and nephews. Andy was a 50 year member of Incarnation parish. He retired from Monsanto after 40 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and Marines and served proudly in WWII and the Korean War. He was best known for his generosity and for helping others. You never left Andy's house empty handed. He was the "Champion" bargain hunter. In addition, he had a special love for classic cars and enjoyed collecting replicas. The cremated remains of our beloved sister, Suzanne Kruso, 1954-2001 will be laid to rest next to our parents. Welcome home Susie, may you rest in peace. A memorial prayer service will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 10:00 AM at Incarnation Church of Centerville, 55 Williamsburg Lane, followed by a gravesite memorial with military honors, 11:00 am at Calvary Cemetery, 1625 Calvary Drive, Dayton. The family will be receiving guests immediately following the gravesite service for a memorial luncheon. In lieu of flowers a donation in the name of Andrew Kruso can be made to Incarnation Church.
