Andrew W. Kreitzer, age 55 of Greenville, passed away suddenly on September 3, 2014 after a brief illness. He was born July 31, 1959 in Dayton to the late Andrew E. and Jacqueline R. Kreitzer.
Andy is survived by his wife, Candace "Candy" Kreitzer, with whom he spent the last 16 years; children: Lisette Michele Kreitzer, William Michael Kreitzer, Lee Edward Helton (Shannon), Nathan Ira Helton (Chenise) and Holly Marie Peterman; 10 grandchildren; brothers: Karl Kreitzer (Fran), Maurice Kreitzer and Milton Kreitzer (Mary); sisters: Jacqueline Subler, Kathy Lisska (Andy) and Dorothy Hamlin (Chris); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Andy was a 1977 graduate of Patterson Co-op. He worked as a Tool Maker for over 35 years. Andy also worked as a Direct Care Provider for individuals with MRDD. His clients became like family to him and he enabled them to enjoy life more fully. This was a vocation that was dear to his heart, brought a lot of joy to his life and was inspired by his daughter, Lisette. Andy touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held from 3-6 pm on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Sunday. Burial and graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, September 8, 2014 at Lewis Family Cemetery, Vanceburg, KY. Contributions may be made in Andy's memory to any Special Olympics Foundation of your choice.
