Andrew David Fideler, age 56 of Fairborn, OH passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018. He was born December 14, 1961 in Sioux City, Iowa to Arthur and Thelma (Maines) Fideler.
Andy graduated from Baker High School in Fairborn in 1980 and worked for 28 plus years at Miami Valley Publishing. He had many friends from the various places he worked over the years and they got together frequently to catch up. He loved his two cats and game nights with family and friends. Andy loved to camp, hike, canoe, and fish and enjoyed his visits to Kings Island. He was an avid coin and marble collector and frequented flea markets and antique shops in search of both. Andy had a big heart and would help those in need by taking them into his home or sharing a dollar or two. He also donated school supplies to the Fairborn school system, donated to the food bank in Fairborn and many other causes. Andy brought a smile to the faces of all who knew him by wearing shirts with funny sayings and being extremely light hearted. He loved his family and friends with all of his heart and will be greatly missed by all.
Andy is survived by his mother, Thelma; two sisters, Tammy Heron and Sandy (Vince) Church; a brother, Lanny (Annette) Fideler; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Thomas Fideler.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service at Fairfield Cemetery, Fairborn, OH.
Andy was a liver and kidney transplant recipient and in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Andy's name to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, 410 W 10th Ave, Columbus, OH 43210 or to the charity of your choice.
