Andrea H. Haberecht, age 72 of Fairborn, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at home surrounded by family. She was born June 18, 1952 in Lackawanna, New York, the daughter of the late Frederic and Barbara Hartman.
Andrea was an avid volunteer, sharing her interests and knowledge with anyone she could. Through many moves as an Air Force wife, she worked at, or served for, several Episcopal Churches – St John’s in Roanoke, VA, St. John’s in Ocean Springs, MS, and St. Christopher’s in Fairborn. Her strong devotion to her faith, and to serving others, led Andrea into a life centered on family, friends, and helping those around her. In her personal time, she enjoyed exploring the world through every means possible including travel, reading books, and simply watching the birds at the many feeders set up in their back yard. Andrea also served as a Mississippi Master Gardener sharing her love of the outdoors with so many.
Guided by her faith Andrea felt called to join the order of the Daughters of the King, a spiritual sisterhood of women dedicated to prayer and service. In this role of service she often made donations to, or helped at, local food banks.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Fred Hartman; and step-mother, Lori Hartman.
Andrea is survived by her husband of nearly 52 years, Alan; son Evan and daughter-in-law Nikki, son Michael and daughter-in-law Chasity; grandsons, Samuel, Jacob, Grayson and Bryce; nephews and niece Emily, Steven, Scott, and Seth; and many other loving family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Fairborn on Saturday, March 29th, 2025 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, Andrea’s family asks that you consider a donation to the organization No Stomach for Cancer! which promotes research and awareness for Stomach Cancer throughout the United States.
