Amy Bobbitt, born on February 11, 1969, in the quaint town of Washington Court House, Ohio, departed this world on September 4, 2024, in Troy, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy rich in love and selflessness. A vibrant spirit, Amy embraced life with her unmistakable personality-she was a happy, loud, colorful beacon of joy, always putting others before herself.
A dedicated woman with an abundance of talent, Amy excelled in various fields throughout her career. Her time at Chrysler and the Miami County Educational Service Center exemplified her commitment to service, education, and community. As a Real Estate Agent, teaching assistant, and a Sunday school teacher since the tender age of 16, Amy impacted the lives of countless individuals. Her educational journey began at Miami Trace High School, which she proudly graduated from, before furthering her studies at Cedarville University. Amy played softball in high school and college. Later, she enjoyed coaching baseball with her children, for many years.
Most importantly, Amy had a calling to be a foster mother. She fostered over 100 children since the year 2000, and she adopted 14 of them. Her love for family was her proudest accomplishment. Deeply devoted, she would sacrifice everything for her children-Dustin, Casey, Madison (Stephen), Beyonce, Johnny, Faith, Isaac, Anthony, Zyhir, Judas, Christopher, Austin, Branson, and Bronson-whom she showered with unconditional affection. The joy she derived from being a mother rippled outwards, creating a family marked by love and unity. As a treasured grandmother, she delighted in her grandchildren, Jayvonne, Amariyah, Gideon, Jaquan, and Elijah, nurturing them with the same warmth and kindness she had bestowed upon her own children.
In her leisure time, Amy pursued activities that brought her serenity and happiness; she loved swimming and fishing, moments spent enveloped by nature bringing her peace. Crafting, painting, and creating artwork allowed her to express the colorful essence of her spirit, leaving behind pieces that her loved ones can cherish forever.
In addition to her children and grandchildren, Amy is survived by her father, Donald Bobbitt, her brother, Donnie Bobbitt, and a multitude of relatives and friends whose lives were touched by her profound generosity and glimmering vibrance. Amy was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Lena Bobbitt, as well as several other cherished family members.
