Amelia Ball departed this life on October 22, 2013 at her home in Dayton, Ohio. Born September 16, 1923 in Hazlehurst Mississippi to the union of Leon & Hettie Davis Wiggins, and resided in Dayton since about 1954. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband George Ball, siblings Leon Jr., Luther, Robert Leon, Mary Lou Fulgham, Inez Chase, and Allie Mae Edwards.
Amelia worked many years at the old Biltmore Towers.
Amelia was a true Christian and loved the Lord. She will be remembered as a loving giving friendly person who was always willing to give a helpful hand to others. . Amelia loved to give advice weather you liked it or not. She was also known for her good cooking, especially her light and fluffy pancakes
Left to cherish her memories - sons: Curtis Holloway, Thomas Holloway (Vanessa Sanford), Anthony Ball; daughters: Myrtis Ann Ball (caregiver), Geneva Anderson, JoAnne Yates, Robin Ball, Rhonda Ball, siblings L.C. (Joann) Wiggins, George (Ora Mae) Wiggins, Geneva (Willie Charles) Blackwell, Eunice (Willie) Lynch, 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
