Amber K. Smith-Cordell

Amber K. Smith-Cordell, age 28 of Riverside, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on December 27, 2024. She was born February 28, 1996 in Dayton, Ohio daughter of Brenda Cundiff.

Amber was a devoted wife, loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Her family was her life and she loved them dearly. She loved her occupation in nursing being able to assist those around her. Amber was a dedicated soul to anyone she had met, giving the shirt off her back if needed. She had a pure heart of Gold for anyone and everyone no matter the situation. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed bringing laughter and a smile to those around her. Her all time favorite activity was doing family game night. She was a caretaker of cats, bringing them in, feeding them, and getting them healthy. Amber loved food, whether cooking it or going out to eat. Amber will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. 

She was preceded in death by her maternal aunt, Sandra Igo; maternal uncle, Bobby Dickerson; maternal cousin, Jimmy Dickerson; maternal grandfather, Melvin Dickerson; and paternal grandmother, Bess A. Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Scott Cordell Sr.; children, Anna Ryan, Scott Cordell Jr., and Allison Cordell; mother, Brenda Cundiff; siblings, Kelli (Robyn) Smith, Michael (Dana Cochran) Smith Jr., Ashley Foutz, David (Taylor) Smith, and Allyssa Cundiff; several nieces and nephews; maternal grandmother, Vada Sturgill; aunt, Patricia Dickerson; uncle, Jerry Dickerson; mother and father in law, Linda and Jerry Cordell; special friends, Angela Vaughn, Brianna Nicole, Sarah Kerg, and Harley Jones; as well as numerous other family members and friends. 

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 11:30am to 1:30pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A funeral service will begin at 1:30pm also at the funeral home with Hannah Alisia Ball officiating. Burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio.
