BERNARD, Amanda Rose, age 24, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday August 1, 2010.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Ann Bernard; paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.
Amanda is survived by her daughter, Madeline Rose; father, Patrick Joseph Bernard; sister, Shannon (Dave) Harper; brother, Patrick (fiancé, Stephanie Beiser) Bernard II; maternal grandmother, Lily Verrett; boyfriend of 3 years, Jamie Vaughn; nieces, Somaya and Nyana along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was a 2004 graduate of Kettering Fairmont High School and was attending National College in Kettering, working towards her degree in Health Information Technology. Amanda was a dedicated mother who enjoyed being outdoors, swimming and listening to music.
Family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday August 6 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3940 Kettering Blvd. 45439). A memorial service will be held Friday August 6 at 8:00 PM at Kettering Seventh Day Adventist, (3939 Stonebridge Rd. Kettering, OH 45429). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to KH Network Credit Union, c/o Madeline R. Bernard Fund (7740 Paragon Rd. Dayton, OH 45459).
