Alzena Henry

Alzena E. Henry, age 89 of Union, passed away October 18, 2016. She was born May 14, 1927 in Marion, OH to the late Earnest and Nora Phillips. In addition to her parents, Alzena was preceded in death by her husband, Arshall S. Henry, Sr.; sister, Alma Holbrook; and grandson, William Green.

Alzena is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Richard L. and Lois J. Henry, Sr.; daughter, Cheryl Ballentine; grandchildren: Richard Henry, Jr., Christina (Leon) Frost, Tammra (Thomas) Massie, Suzanne (Warren) Wallin and Alzena (Keith) Van Hoose; 20 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Mary Jean Allie and Nora Sue Garfield; brother, Earnest T. Phillips, Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Alzena showed her love for people by volunteering at different local food pantries.

Visitation will be held from 12-1 pm on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
