Alvin L. Fultz
" Our Papaw "
Age 80, of Kettering passed away May 8, 2010 at Miami Valley Hospital. Born June 21 of 1929 in Bellefontaine, Ohio. Alvin served in the U.S. Army and is a Veteran of the Korean War. Alvin was preceeded in death by his wife Lillan M. Fultz "Our Mamaw" in 2001. He is survived by his two daughters Linda Kunka and husband Larry of Miamisburg, Ohio; Ruth Powell of Kettering, Ohio. Alvin is also survived by his two brothers Luther Fultz of Gahanna, Ohio; Daniel and Betty Fultz of Bellefontaine, Ohio as well as his two sisters: Eileen Gault of Huber Heights, Ohio and Mary Garrett of Springfield, Ohio. Grandchildren: Angela McCloskey, husband Mark and daughter Camryn; Joseph Powell and son Pacey; Ryan Powell and son Austin; Mark Asher, son Jacob and daughter Paige; Christina Asher, daughter Erika and great-great Grandson Braylen; Anthony, Amanda, Dylan and Colin Kunka and many other loved family and friends. Papaw enjoyed spending time at Hickory Hills Lake crappie fishing with his fishing partner Carl. Alvin also enjoyed being together with family and provided a place at Hickory Hills to accomplish this. Alvin retired from the Kettering School system and spent most of his retirement with his wife Lillian living life to the fullest. "Our Papaw": honest, hard-working, loving, compassionate, giving, and grateful, loved by everyone because of his morals and beliefs. Visitation takes place at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Moraine, OH 45439 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Funeral services to follow and Burial at Germantown Union Cemetery.
