Alverna M. Lawrence, age 84, departed this life on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Crestview Manor Nursing Home. She was born August 11, 1928 in Dayton, Ohio to Adell and Lillie B. Lawrence. She attended Dunbar High School.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Adell Lawrence, Jr. and Edward Seals; and one sister, Norma Jean Lawrence.
Alverna was a member of Bethesda Temple Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory three sisters, Juanita Trammell, Martha J. Byrd, and Mary (Frank) Ross; two brothers, Jimmy (Eva) Lawrence, and Milfred (Wanda) Moon; two sisters-in-law, Sweetie Seals & Sarah A. Lawrence; special nieces, Cheri Lawrence, Sheryl Harris, and NeNe (Sylvester) Wilcoxson; special great niece, Rebecca Lawrence; and a host of other nieces, nephews, devoted friends, and church family.
