DEATON, Alva E., age 74, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2011.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Deaton.

Alva is survived by his siblings, Dorothy Fenton of Hollywood, FL, Ion (Loretta) Deaton of College Park, MD, Brant Deaton of Pulaski, NY, Frank (Loretta) Deaton of Fairborn, OH, Charles (Jean) Deaton of Jackson, KY, and Woody Deaton of Kettering, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

He was a longtime member of Fairborn First Baptist Church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Hospice of Miami Valley and Riverside Nursing Center for all their love and care.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd and 5:00-8:00 pm Friday October 28, 2011 at Deaton Funeral Home, 15 Deaton Ln., Jackson, KY. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 29 at Deaton Funeral Home with burial at Jackson Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Miami Valley or Fairborn First Baptist Church.
