Alphous G. Smith

(Ret. MGST) Alphous "Al" G. Smith, age 82 of Huber Heights, passed away November 9, 2015. He was born May 2, 1933 in Laurel, MS to the late Lee and Alcenia Smith. Al was preceded in death by his sister, Catherine Smith.
Al is survived by his daughter, Valerie G. Smith of Columbus, OH; sons, Harold K. Jennings of Westerville, OH and Tony O. Jennings of Pittsburg, CA; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be held with full military honors at 12 noon on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 W. Third St. Dayton, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Unity of Dayton, 6741 Chambersburg Rd. Huber Heights, OH or Dayton V.A. Hospice, Building 320, Lakeside Manor, Victory Ridge, in Al's memory.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at Unity of Dayton on Sunday, November 22, 2015, at 2:00pm. Please call 937-233-7516 for further information.
