Alma Ruth Elswick
April 27, 1942 — August 21, 2013
ELSWICK, Alma Ruth, age 71 of Brookville passed away August 21, 2013. She was born in Siler, KY to the late Melinda Lawson and Junior Hill. In addition to her parents, Alma will be reunited with many family members who have passed before her.
Alma is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Alonzo "A.J." Elswick, Jr.; children, Liza (Richard) Warren, David Elswick, and Curtis Elswick; grandchildren, Joseph Paul (Erin) Warren, David A. Elswick, and Amanda Elswick; sister-in-law, Linda Elswick; niece, Elle Elswick; and many other loving relatives and friends.
She had a passion for children and was always willing to sit and play with any child who knocked on her door. She was an avid vegetable gardener and had a passion for thrift store shopping. Alma was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Aug 23, 2013 at Dayton Memorial Park Mausoleum from 2:30pm-3:30pm. In care of Newcomer Funeral Home.
