Alma Mae Rose

Alma M. Rose, age 76, of Dayton, passed away, Saturday, April 11, 2009. She was born October 10, 1932, in Dayton, to the late Perry and Anna Mae Thomas. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Evelyn Louise and Ruth Ann. Alma is survived by her siblings, Irene Smith, Vivian Nichols, Perry Thomas Jr. and Teeny Lucas; aunts, Verneda Sandridge, Elizabeth Kirk and Dorothy Brown; a host of nieces, nephews and many friends. The family would like to thank the staff at the Oaks of Kettering, the Dialysis Center of Moraine, Good Samaritan Hospital and Hospice of Dayton for their excellent care and compassion. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 15, 2009 from 5-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). Services will be held Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 12 pm, at Grace United Methodist Church (1001 Harvard Blvd, Dayton, OH 45406), Pastor Leo Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
