Alma L. Evans, age 84, of Union, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Carriage Inn of Dayton. She was born February 4, 1931 in Letcher County, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by loving husband, Lester "Tye" Evans; her parents, Levi and Ida Elswick; 7 brothers and 1 sister.
Alma is survived by her children, Alan (Patricia) Evans, Pam (Rick) Burton, Teressa Evans, Ron (Kelley) Evans, Tim (Tina) Evans; 11 grandchildren, Alan Jr., Michael, Kristina, Stacy, David, Leslie, Ashley, Amy, Melissa, Cameron and Wyatt; 19 great-grandchildren 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Freda (Wade) Oney and Beulah (Lenard) Watts and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, November 13, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made in memory of Alma to Hospice of Dayton or Alzheimer's Association.
