Alma "Jean" Grizzell, age 98, was born on November 14th, 1924, in Middletown, Ohio, and passed away on February 15, 2023, in Beavercreek, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Raymond Grizzell; her sons, Billy Ray Grizzell and Dennis Keith Grizzell; her parents, Thomas Jefferson "TJ" Miller and Elsie Cora Branson Hogan Miller; sisters, Dorotha Elizabeth Miller Benter (William Henry Harrison Benter) and Charlena Burse Miller Morrison (Rev. James Wyly "Jimmy" Morrison); and her half siblings, William Joseph Hogan, Desie Hogan, Talmadge Miller and Mary Pearl Miller.
She is survived by her loving children, Thomas (Debbie) Grizzell, Pamela Harrington and Sean Harrington; grandchildren, Tammy Lovitt, William Wallace Grizzell (preceded in death by Dana), Monica (Stan) Parker, Clint (Deirdre) Grizzell and Tina (Mike Sr.) Gill; great grandchildren, Travis Petrey, Amanda Patterson, Shahana Henson, Jami Lovitt, Emily Grizzell and Caitlyn Grizzell, Travis and Kirstan Parker, Dakota and Cole Grizzell & Michael Gill Jr.; great-great grandchildren, McKenzie Capps, Riley Capps, Grayson Jones, Tehya Pitman and Hudson Harmeling; and many other loving family and friends.
Jean loved the Lord Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother and a friend, who was loving and giving to others. She will be greatly missed but always in our hearts. Jean lived in Dayton Ohio, and was active in chair yoga, outings (drawing, clay-pottery, used to Crochet and quilt) and was a member of the Airway Baptist Church in Riverside, Ohio.
Visitation will be held from 2:00pm-4:00pm on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where Funeral Services will begin at 4:00pm. Burial will be held at Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio, at a later date by the family.
