Aline Stoughton, 98, of Beavercreek, OH, passed away peacefully at home August 20, 2019. She was born on July 26, 1921 in Butler, Pennsylvania to Alfred and Mary Elizabeth (Christie) Dean. Aline married Francis Earl Stoughton on February 20, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois, where Earl was serving in the U.S. Navy.
Aline enjoyed going to both the Baptist and Nazarene churches that she attended throughout the years, and most recently, Maranatha Baptist Church in Sebring, FL. She especially loved singing in the choir. Her love of music began at the age of 5 when she and her twin sister, Elaine, began singing duets together. She will also be remembered for her wonderful home cooked meals and her incredibly delicious pies.
Aline was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of nearly 53 years and her twin sister, Elaine Ross. Also predeceasing her were three additional sisters, Mary Lucille Greiner, Dorothy Paxton, and Ruth Fewkes, as well as her brother, Alfred Dean. She is survived by two sons, David and Janet (Goodwin) and Dean and Melissa (Ricketts) and six grandchildren, Elaine (Stoughton) and Dave Cox, Mary Stoughton, Graham Stoughton, Reece Stoughton, Mikal Stoughton and James Dean Ricketts; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24th from 7:00 to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 3380 Dayton Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH 45432. A funeral service will follow immediately at the funeral home. Burial will be at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia, OH.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to Hospice of Dayton (Ohio's Hospice), 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420.
