Alice Charlotte Rankins, age 72, of Dayton, passed away November 11, 2022. She was born February 18, 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio. Alice was preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice Rankins; son, Maurice Rankins; and sisters: Helen Wilson and Delisa Rankins.
Alice is survived by her son, James Rankins; God-daughter, Angela Allen; grandchildren: Andrew Hargrave, Maurice Rankins Jr., Jaden Rankins, Nia Rankins, Jenna Rankins, James Rankins Jr., and Quintin Staugler; several great-grandchildren; brothers: Myron Rankins and Jesse Rankins; sister, Gladys Jackson; a host of other relatives, cousins, and special friends: Dorothy Barnes, Laverne Hill and Angela Watson.
Alice was a 1967 graduate of Glenville High School, Cleveland, OH. She was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force for 8 years. Alice also worked for 36 years at the U.S. Post Office before her retirement. Alice was a faithful attendant Greater Galilee Baptist Church, where she served on the usher board. She also attended Apostolic Lighthouse Church. Alice was a very spiritual student when it came to studying the Bible. She was an amazing cook and did a lot of catering in the church as well. One of Alice's greatest characteristics was she was a giver; she was a very selfless person. Alice will be dearly missed by everyone she came in contact with.
