Age 84, of Dayton, passed away Friday, January 8, 2010, at Hospice of Dayton.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry B. Garries; her second husband, Allen Orth; her parents, Henry N. & Mary (Henderson) Phipps; brothers, Willis, Herb & Edward.
Alice is survived by four children, Henry Ann & her husband, Ronald (Sr.) Elliott, James C. Garries, William L. Garries & Emery R. Garries; numerous grandchildren, great grand children & great great grandchildren; sisters, Helen, Esther & Lucy; brothers, Ewell, Henry & Johnny; and by her extended family & many good friends.
Visitation 5:00 – 8:00, Monday (1/11) at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Victory Hill Church of God, 6887 W. Third St., Dayton. Pastor Cecil Wright will officiate. Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
