BERTLING (McClurg), Alice Jane, age 76, passed away Friday, May 4, 2007. She is preceded in death by her parents, Chelsea and Helen McClurg; husband, John K. Bertling; sister, Betty Palmer, and aunt, Katherine Wells. Alice is survived by her children, Michael (Nancy) Bertling and Mary Ann (Terry) Burdine; grandchildren, Carolyn Bertling, Daniel Bertling, Laura Sheehan, Douglas Bertling, and Kevin Sheehan; great grandchildren, Mikala Doty and Tate Kreitzer, loving niece, Susan (Gary) Weaks, as well as numerous other family and friends. Alice was a member of the Dayton Chapter of Embroiders' Guild of America, R.O.S.E. (Richmond's Own Society of Embroiders') E.G.A., and the Miami Valley Chapter Needlepoint Guild of America. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Family will receive friends from 10:00am until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
