Alice Virginia Haynes

Alice Virginia Haynes, age 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. She was born on October 29, 1935 in Berea, OH.

Alice loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In her earlier years, she enjoyed gardening, canning and fishing. Alice and her husband, David, retired to Crossville, TN and she made 20+ years of fond and loving memories. Alice spent her weekends at the Crossville Flea Market, her evenings at the local Palace Theatre, summer visitations with family and traveling in her camper. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, David Haynes; her mother, Olive Budweg; her brother, Ralph Budweg and her favorite dog, Rocky.

Alice is survived by her children, Bobby Haynes, Donna Haynes, Ruthie Haynes, Bill (Sherry) Haynes, Lois Robinson, Mary Jarusiewic and Wilma (Bryan) Coberly; 11 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Barb Treaster and Wilma Eucker. Her sister, Claire Reindl followed closely in passing and joined Alice in Heaven on the same day. 

Visitation will be held 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM with services to follow, Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, OH 45424.

Alice will be laid to rest with her husband, David, in Burnside Cemetery in Burnside, KY on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Masonic Home in Springfield, OH.
