Alice J. Focht, lovingly called "June", passed away on June 1, 2023. She was born on June 20, 1933 to the late Roy Flory and Sarah Tschabrun.
She was a feisty woman and very independent. She was very loving and was the matriarch of her family. She was the go-to for help or advice and the host of the family gatherings. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards, and having a nice, cold beer. Her presence and love will be missed.
In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her loving husband, Burnett Focht; her siblings: Bud Flory, Delores Bruner, Robert Flory, Bonnie Brown, and Gene Flory.
Her memory will be cherished by her son, Gary (Mary) Focht; grandchildren: Krista (Shane) Sturgill; great-grandchildren: Colton Sturgill, Collin Sturgill, Caden Sturgill, and Carson Sturgill; brother, Bill Flory; many nieces and nephews, including Rita O'Leary; her best friend, Joy Kammer; her dog, Mia; and many extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00pm. Following the service, June will be laid to rest with her husband at Ellerton Cemetery in Moraine, Ohio.
