Alice Louise Anderson

August 29, 1933 — July 15, 2017

Alice Louise Anderson, age 83 of Beavercreek, OH passed away peacefully Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Traditions of Beavercreek. She was born August 29, 1933 in Stoughton, Wisconsin the daughter of Gunder and Ella (Paulson) Hjortland. Alice married Ronald O. Anderson on February 25, 1956 in Stoughton, WI.

Alice graduated from the University of Wisconsin Nursing Program and was a Registered Nurse at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago. After her marriage to Ron, Alice continued her nursing career at Miami Valley Hospital while Ron completed his military service at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. When children came along Alice devoted herself to being a "Domestic Engineer" raising her three children, being involved in the Beavercreek community, a scout leader, member of the PTA's, art clubs and eventually an active member of the Beavercreek Senior Center. She loved arts of all mediums and she herself was very artistic. She sold several paintings and had her artwork displayed at the Busy Beaver. When her husband of 54 years suffered a severe stroke, she then devoted her time and nursing skills to his care for over 25 years. Alice loved her family and friends dearly and she will be greatly missed by all.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Ann (Lou) Spinazzola; two sons, Mark Ronald (Kim) Anderson and Michael Eric (Belinda) Anderson; two granddaughters, Anya Louise and Carly Elizabeth Spinazzola; a brother, Gunder (Charla) Hjortland Jr.; a sister in law, Joan Hjortland; and other numerous family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ronald; a sister and brother in law, Caroline and Orlando Kjernes; and a brother Sidney Hjortland.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks for the wonderful care Alice received at Traditions of Beavercreek and from the staff of Hospice of Dayton.
