He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Debbie Magnotta; son, Mike (Donna) Magnotta; step-son, Andy (Lauren) Metzler; step-daughter, Jessica (Joe) Timm; grandchildren, Jacob (Fiancée Katy Bryant), Anthony, Sam, Penelope, Lucy, Hadley, Lulu and William;

dear friends.

Born to Italian Immigrants, Alfred (or as he was known to many, AJ) was very proud of his Italian heritage! Graduating from high school in 1948, he attended University of Michigan and completed his undergraduate degree. AJ then attended medical school at the University of Cincinnati. AJ was a veteran and along the way, and he proudly served his country in the US Army. After completing medical school, he settled in the Dayton, Ohio area became a very successful Obstetrician/Gynecologist in the area and was in practice for almost 30 years. He once said that he delivered close to 5000 babies over his career, an accomplishment he was very proud of!! He also loved the Cincinnati Pro sports teams, especially the Cincinnati Bengals, being a Season Ticket holder for many years. He also loved his University of Michigan Wolverines sports teams!
After his retirement, he and Debbie enjoyed traveling and seeing the world, including to see his roots and where his mother and father were from in Italy! Another thing he enjoyed, and was very skilled at, was cooking! He loved cooking, and we all loved eating his meals, we will miss those so much, but we can cherish all of the memories and wonderful meals he served us over the years!! He did make the "Best Damn Spaghetti and Meatballs this side of the Mississippi."

Years ago, he had purchased some land and built the cabin for his family in the Rocky Fort, Ohio area. Many wonderful memories were created there over the years, and he truly enjoyed having that land. He also became quite the handyman later in life and was able to fix just about anything (compliments of his friend and later father-in-law Mac)! He and Debbie also became quite the dancers and were known for their ability to "cut the rug" together! But more importantly, he loved his family more than anything and cherished spending time together, as we did spending with him. We will all miss AJ dearly, but we are also thankful that we had him for so many years in our lives.

There will be no services, per AJ's final wishes. A private celebration of AJ's life will be held by the family at a later date.
