Alfred E. Sears, age 80, of Germantown, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013.
Alfred retired from Apex Tool Group after 44 years. He enjoyed bowling with the "Old Farts Bowling Team" and several other leagues.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris E. Watson Sears; sisters, Evelyn Johnson and Mary Jeffery; son, Brian Sears; and grandson, Franklin "Bucko" Trisdale.
Alfred is survived by his sister, Alice Lucas; children, Connie Carter, Fred Sears, Gary (BJ) Sears and Nanci Upton; step-children, Diana Watson, Dave (Patty) Watson, Dale (Penny) Watson, Dana (Rosie) Watson and Terri Parsons; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 25, 2013 from 10-11am at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering OH 45439). The service will follow at 11:00am. Burial will be held at Germantown Cemetery.
He was an amazing Dad, Papaw and Friend. Alfred will be missed.
