Alfred Caudill

Alfred "Al" Caudill, age 89, of Dayton, passed away on September 21, 2022, at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Vicco, Kentucky, on August 15, 1933, the son of the late Rankin and Virgie Caudill.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Janice Hurley and Paul Caudill.

Al is survived by his wife, Mattie Caudill; his daughters, Cathy (Joe) Ebenger, Tammy (Randy) Fischbach and Rebecca Pratt; former son-in-law, Bob Pratt; grandchildren, Cody (Bailey), Chelsea, Samantha (Jesse), Connor and Ethan; great grandchildren, Carter, Bauer and Peyton; sister, Lois Sumner; and many other loving family and friends.

He retired from General Motors after 35 years of employment. In his free time, he enjoyed working in his yard, cheering on his Kentucky Wildcats, working on puzzles, reading and painting things that did not need painting. Al was a very hardworking man and adored the time spent with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Donations may be made in Al's memory to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am-12:00pm, on Friday, September 30, 2022, at Cornerstone Baptist Temple, 1707 Ohmer Ave., Dayton, where Funeral Services will begin at 12:00pm, with Pastor Jerry Siler officiating. Burial will follow at David's Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.
