Alexis Jade Park Slivinski, "Lexi," age 19 of Dayton, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 19, 2023. She was born December 10, 2003 in Dayton, Ohio.
Lexi was a presence...so easy to be with. She had a deep voice but was a gentle person - she was direct but with few words. Lexi was comfortable in her own skin and encouraged other people to be the same without judgement. Lexi battled cancer, followed by a stroke and tackled many hardships over the past couple of years. Despite these challenges, she was still so strong and was able to graduate from Miamisburg High School in 2022. She knew her limits but was willing to try new things regardless. Lexi loved animals and they loved her. She enjoyed fishing, Dungeons & Dragons with her friends on Fridays, video games, music, cooking - especially Mac 'n Cheese, and one day she hoped to be a farmer. Innocent honesty was Lexi. She was loved by so many; we all loved her. She changed us all.
Lexi is survived by her mother, Jamie (Philip) Caviness; father, Kazimir (Shayna) Slivinski; grandmothers, Holly Park, Diana Slivinski; uncle, Casey Abbott; brother, Archer Caviness; sisters, Iris Caviness and Nova Slivinski; two great grandmothers, Mary Abbott, Tam Park; as well as numerous loving relatives and friends, and her beloved pets: Jasper and Rocky the dogs and Peanut the hamster.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Daniel Paul Abbott and Uncle Valoris Slivinski.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, OH 45459).
