Alexis Hope Smith

SMITH, Alexis Hope, age 17, of Beavercreek, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 26, 2012. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary Smith. Alexis is survived by her parents, Mark and Marcia Smith; brother, Kyle Smith; sister, Abby Smith; grandparents, Marlin and Laura Stephenson and Wayne and Marge Smith; aunts and uncles, Bill and Joan McCarty, Bob and Arlene Stephenson, Dan and Anita Stephenson, Tammy and Gary Orr, Renea and Michael Raines, Tim Benson, Judy Benson, Marilyn and Rick Bohlman, Barb and Bord Strand, and John Benson, as well as several cousins and extended family members.

Alexis was very active in the youth group at Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene. She also helped at Arbre De Vie orphanage in Africa, making an impact on many lives.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene, 1850 N. Fairfield Rd, with Pastors Keven Wentworth and Scott Porter officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia. Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alexis' family to assist with funeral expenses.
